Delmar, Delaware- From the drop of the green, the USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series battled door to door throughout the field for position, with Chris Allen, Jr. ultimately collecting his first series win on the Delaware International Speedway half-mile.
Bill Unglert and Trevor Kobylarz immediately went to war for the top-position. By lap five, Chris Allen, Jr. was putting pressure on the leaders, battling Unglert for the lead, with Eddie Strada and Steve Drevicki fighting for the top-five.
All eyes were on the trio of Drevicki, Chandler Leiby, and Strada, as the three were under a blanket, combating for position. By halfway, the leaders were approaching lap traffic, utilizing all lanes of the racy track surface to maintain their position.
With five laps remaining, a late race caution regrouped the field for a single-file restart. Allen maintained the lead with Drevicki challenging Unglert for second.
Allen would remain unchallenged with Unglert, Strada, Drevicki, and Leiby rounding out the top-five.
Hearts were won by Drevicki and Leiby.
The Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks started where they left off, with Jerry Barker and Robert Smith continuing their competitiveness in the respective divisions.
