Flooding and More Rain Cancel Events for Delaware Lottery Night on 8/21

Another week, another rainout. After receiving over 6” of rain in the last week, plus the chances for more rain this afternoon/evening, the decision has been made to cancel out tonight’s racing events. We are off next weekend for a 2 Day Show at the Dragway. Racing action returns to the speedway on September 4th with the USAC Sprints.

Rain Filled Forecast Cancels URC Sprints on RC Holloway Night

Well Race Fans, this is becoming a trend we truly want nothing to be apart of, but unfortunately we are cancelling again tonight (8/14/2021). Every forecast we have shows rain starting at 7 pm tonight and carrying into early tomorrow. With the pits already soaked from last nights rain, more on the way, and Sunday’s forecast looking less favorable every time we look, we will not be rescheduling for tomorrow. We will try again, if Mother Nature allows, next Saturday night.

Saturday Night Thunder on 8/7 Rescheduled for Sunday 8/8

  With Mother Nature making her regularly scheduled visit to Delmar on Saturday Night, we have cancelled out tonight’s events. BUT! We are going to tentatively reschedule for TOMORROW, August 8th!   Depending on the rainfall we receive today/tonight, track officials have made the decision to race tomorrow! We will monitor the conditions tomorrow morning and give an update on rainfall accumulations and the grounds situation. Dangerous Heat Index, Increased Storm Threat & Tire Shortage Call For Cancellation Of July 17th Event

Attention Racers and Race Fans:   After evaluating multiple facets, track management has made the unfortunate decision to cancel tonight’s racing events at Delaware International Speedway. Currently, there are no new tires available from American Racer, and parts shortages are at an all time high. Watson Cashes In On Delaware Lottery Night
