US 13 Dragway
EASTER BRACKET BLITZ SET TO TACKLE BRACKET RACERS FROM MID-ATLANTIC REGION THIS WEEKEND
For the past couple of weekends, the U.S. 13 Dragway has been able to conduct a couple Test & Tune sessions for 2018. Coming up this weekend, racing will make a big change as we kick off the 2018 Points Season. Local racers will begin their quest for a championship for either the IHRA or SBRA titles along with Track Champion.
The weekend will encompass two days of racing with larger than normal purses offer to the racers. Top ET racers will compete on Saturday for $5000 to win and Sunday will offer up $3000 to the winner. For the Mod ET class, Saturday, Footbrakers will have a shot at $2000 to win with Sunday paying out $1000 to the winner. The following are entry fee and buy back cost for Saturday and Sunday’s events:
Top ET – Saturday Entry - $100 / Buy back $75
Sunday Entry - $80 / Buy backs $60
Mod ET – Saturday Entry- $70 / Buy backs $40
Sunday Entry - $50 / Buy backs $30
Gates will open Saturday at 9 am, Time runs to begin at 10 am, there will be two time-run sessions on Saturday. Eliminations will follow the completion of time runs. In additional to all the racing on Saturday, the Easter Bunny will be paying a visit to the U.S. 13 Dragway and will hold an Easter egg hunt for children 10 years of age and younger. Candy and Prizes will be awarded to those who participate.
On Sunday, to honor the Easter holiday by opening the gates later at 12 noon, in respect of those attending sunrise services. With the later opening times, we will only offer new entries 1 time shot before we begin eliminations. Those who competed on Saturday, will not receive a time run Sunday and will be called to the lanes immediately following the new entry time runs.
We will be allowing double entries in the Top and Mod categories only this year. Racers will be allowed to double enter in Top and double enter in Mod with their same entry. One racer will only be allowed a maximum of two runs down the track per elimination rounds. A racer may double enter in Top and Mod once with the same entry. In addition, one entry may have two drivers as long as it is in two separate classes. Two driver cannot enter/drive the same car in the same class.
This weekend, Outten Bros. Home Furnishings Pro Bike, Street Eliminator, Hot Rod Trophy and Jr. Dragsters will be participating both days and points will begin for these classes as well.
