US 13 Dragway
1st STATE HOT ROD REUNION NOSTALGIA SHOW & DRAGS
On Sunday September 13, will be one of those shows to remember for 2015. For over 52 years, the U.S. 13 Dragway has produce some of the best drag racing on the east coast. Many famous drivers have competed on the 1/4 mile facility. Names like; "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, "TV" Tommy IVO, Don "The Snake" Purdome, Bruce Larson, Don Nicholson and Carol "Bunny" Burkett just to name a few who have visited Delaware years ago.
The Cathell family and staff of the U.S. 13 Dragway invite you to come out and take a trip back to the old days on Sunday September 13 as the Inaugural 1st State Hot Rod Reunion Nostalgia Show & Drags invade Delaware. The event will host an all Nostalgia Eliminator, Car Show, Swap Meet, Burn Out and Wheelie Contest along with their bracket programs. Come meet some of the pioneers of racing like Bruce Larson and Dave Bishop, also cars from back in the 50's, 60's and 70's such as Larson's USA Funny Car, the "Whooppee Car" and "38 Special" Wheel Standing Pickup.
Gates open 9 am time trial at 11am with Car Show, Specialty Awards, Burnout Contest & Wheelie Contest set to kick off around 1:30pm. Eliminations for the Bracket racing and Nostalgia class begin 2:30pm. Admission is only $15 and children 13 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.
Car Show fee is only the admission fee and Swap Meet $40 (includes admission) for 10X10 spot and $10 for additional 10' increments.
